Your journal is private. We keep what we need to run 3gratitudes and nothing more. There are no ads and no tracking, and we never sell or share what you write.
Who we are
3gratitudes is run by SoliudFlux BV, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce 85049832). We are responsible for your data under the GDPR. Questions about it go to hello@3gratitudes.com.
What we keep, and why
- Your email addresses and first name, to sign you in, send your reminders and know which emails are yours.
- What you write and the photos you send, because keeping them is the whole service. Only you can see them.
- Your settings: time zone, reminder days and time, and email choices.
- For Plus: your Stripe customer and subscription ids. Stripe handles the payment itself; we never see or store your card.
- A short log of emails we sent and received (when, and whether a reply was saved), so we can fix problems.
We use this to provide the service you signed up for (GDPR article 6(1)(b)). We don't use your journal for anything else: no ads, no profiling, no training of AI models.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. That's it: no analytics or advertising cookies.
Visitor counts
On the pages you see before signing in, Fathom Analytics counts visits for us: which pages, where visitors came from, and how many start a journal. It uses no cookies and keeps nothing that identifies you. Once you're signed in, nothing is counted; your journal pages never load it.
Who helps us
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, stores photos, and sends and receives our email.
- Stripe handles Plus payments.
- Fathom Analytics counts visits to the pages before signing in, without cookies.
- Mailgun receives email for 3gratitudes.com until we finish moving it to Cloudflare.
They only process data for us, under data processing agreements. Some of them are based in the United States and rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Your journal, for as long as you have an account.
- A day you delete can be restored for 30 days, then it's gone for good, with its photos.
- Extra photos on Free are held for 30 days in case you move to Plus, then deleted.
- The text of a reply we couldn't read is kept for 7 days so you can fix it.
- Email logs are kept for up to 90 days.
- When you delete your account, everything is removed straight away. Our backups, kept in case something goes wrong, lose it within 30 days. Payment records stay with Stripe as long as tax law requires.
Your rights
You can see, correct and download your data at any time (Settings, "Download everything"), and delete your account and all of it from Settings too. You can also ask us to restrict or stop processing, or object to it. If you think we handle your data wrongly, please tell us first; you can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we'll email you before it takes effect.
